Job summary

A growing consultancy is seeking a Town Planner to support planning projects and provide development advice. The ideal candidate will have a degree accredited by the RTPI, strong communication skills, and ideally 2+ years of post-qualification experience. This full-time role offers a salary between £30,000 and £40,000, along with benefits such as a company pension, life insurance, and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Ability to manage multiple applications and workloads effectively.
  • Interest in sports, environmental or urban development projects is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Director and Senior Planner on planning projects.
  • Preparing planning application submissions.
  • Providing planning advice for various schemes.
  • Writing reports and draft proposals for clients.
  • Attending site visits and stakeholder consultations.
  • Liaising with internal teams and external consultants.
  • Contributing creatively to problem solving in projects.

Skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple applications and workloads effectively
Interest in sports, environmental or urban development projects

Education

Degree accredited by the Royal Town Planning Institute
Chartered RTPI member or working towards chartership
2+ years post-qualification experience
