Job summary

The Planner Jobs Redactive Publishing Limited in Canterbury is seeking an experienced Town Planner to handle a varied portfolio of planning projects. You will prepare and submit planning applications, provide detailed planning advice, and manage multiple cases for landowners, developers and public-sector clients.

Ideal candidates will have 2–5 years of UK planning experience, a Town Planning degree, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• A degree in Town Planning or closely related discipline.
• Around 2-5 years' relevant planning experience.
• Experience working within the UK planning system.
• Experience preparing planning statements and/or planning submissions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage your own workload and work to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit planning applications and pre-application enquiries.
• Undertake site appraisals and provide planning advice to clients.
• Assist with planning appeals and representations.
• Advise on permitted development and lawful development matters.
• Support clients with planning enforcement issues.
• Assist with the promotion of land through the planning system.
• Liaise with local authorities, consultants and other stakeholders.
• Manage your own caseload while contributing to wider team projects.
