The Company:

My client provides Planning, Landscape, and Environment Consultancy advice to a broad range of sectors. Due to expansion, this multidisciplinary consultancy is looking for a motivated Town Planner to join their growing team, in York. Technical services in the Town Planning Department include a spectrum of Planning and Landscape Supporting documents, such as pre-planning, applications, and appeals. Established for nearly 20 years, they operate across a wide range of sectors including Residential, Energy and Waste, and Industrial.

The Role:

As a Town Planner, you will be responsible for working proactively and on your own initiative on a range of planning applications and planning appeals. Primarily, you will be working on large-scale residential and renewable energy projects. In this expert team of Chartered Planners, Architects, Landscape Architects, Urban Designers and Engineers, you will have a fantastic opportunity for professional development. Also, Hybrid or Remote working is available for this role!

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Relevant experience in the industry.
• A proved track record of managing caseloads for different types of planning applications, ideally in the Residential or Renewable Energy sectors.
• The ability to prepare and present high quality planning reports.
• Experience writing appeal statements and the appeal process.
• An accredited degree in Town Planning, or related subject.
• Be working towards chartered status with the RTPI.
