Job summary

Beach Baker Property Recruitment is seeking a Planning Consultant at Associate or Partner level in Newcastle. You will lead a planning team, oversee complex planning applications, and drive strategic planning and land promotion initiatives within a multidisciplinary environment.

You will provide commercially focused planning advice to clients and colleagues, identify opportunities, and mentor professionals to sustain high standards and growth.

Introduction

As a specialist recruiter partnering with a respected property consultancy, we are seeking an experienced Planning Consultant at Associate or Partner level to step into a strategic leadership role within an established Planning team. This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives on shaping planning strategy, delivering high‑quality work, and mentoring others in a collaborative, multi‑disciplinary setting.

The Opportunity

You will join a dynamic team that includes planners, surveyors and architects, working across a wide range of residential, commercial and leisure development projects. With a strong focus on strategic planning and land promotion, this role offers the chance to influence team direction, support business growth, and contribute to a well‑respected planning function known for its professionalism and high standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of planning consultants.
  • Oversee and support complex planning applications.
