Qualifications

• Expérience prouvée dans un rôle de planification, de préférence dans un environnement rural ou de conseil.
• Connaissance solide de la législation et des politiques de planification au Royaume-Uni.
• Membre de l'RTPI ou en voie d'obtention du statut de chartered.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Town Planner to join a growing team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the future of rural planning in North Yorkshire and beyond. You will be involved in a diverse range of projects, from residential and commercial developments to agricultural and heritage projects.

Key Responsibilities:
·Manage and coordinate planning applications, appeals, and related documentation.
·Conduct site appraisals, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments.
·Liaise with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to provide expert planning advice.
·Prepare and present detailed reports and recommendations.
·Ensure compliance with relevant planning legislation and policies.
·Contribute to the development of planning strategies and policy documents.
·Represent clients at planning committee meetings and public consultations.



Requirements:
A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or working towards chartered status.
Proven experience in a planning role, preferably within a rural or consultancy setting.
Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation, policies, and procedures.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Proficient in the use of planning software and Microsoft Office applications.
A valid UK driving license and willingness to travel to site locations as required.
