Job summary

The Planner Jobs Redactive Publishing Limited in Sheffield is recruiting a Town Planner to join its growing team. This hybrid role offers a structured career path and exposure to residential, commercial, and mixed‑use projects, with three days per week in the Sheffield office.

You will work with experienced planners to prepare planning applications, produce reports, liaise with authorities and clients, and help manage multiple projects.

Qualifications

• A degree in Town Planning or RTPI‑accredited discipline.
• MRTPI membership or progress towards chartership.
• Experience in planning consultancy, local authority, or developer environments.
• Strong report writing and organisational abilities.
• Proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and managing planning applications and appeals.
• Producing planning appraisals, reports and supporting documentation.
• Providing planning advice to clients throughout the development process.
• Liaising with local planning authorities, consultees and key stakeholders.
• Supporting project delivery across a varied portfolio.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.

We're working with a highly respected planning and development consultancy to recruit a talented Town Planner to join its growing Sheffield team. As a Town Planner, you'll play a key role in delivering planning advice across a wide range of residential, commercial, mixed‑use, regeneration, and strategic development projects. You'll work closely with experienced planning professionals, developers, landowners, and multidisciplinary teams to help shape successful developments from inception through to delivery.

The Role
