Job summary

Indespension Derby in Cardiff is seeking a Towbar & Service Technician to join our workshop team. You will fit towbars to customer vehicles, service and repair customer trailers, and maintain our fleet with accurate servicing records.

Applicants must hold a current UK driving licence and be prepared to work Mon-Fri with a competitive salary and monthly bonus scheme. 32 days annual leave is included, with a focus on quality, safety and timely service.

Qualifications

• Experience fitting tow bars to customer vehicles.
• Experience servicing and repairing trailers.
• Able to assemble or modify trailers as required.

Responsibilities

• Undertake daily duties as designated by the Branch Team and Workshop diary.
• Fit towbars to Customer vehicles.
• Service and repair Customer trailers.
• Service and repair the Company’s fleet of hire trailers to an agreed schedule.
• Maintain and update full records of each trailer in the Company hire fleet for servicing purposes.
• Ensure all towbar fits and trailer services/repairs are completed in an acceptable timeframe and quality.
• Keep up to date with any changes to suppliers’ towbar fitting instructions including wiring via the Branch Network and use of the internet/intranet.
• Assemble and modify trailers as required.
• Ascertain faults and provide technical advice as required.
• Be fully conversant with all Company systems/procedures.
• Hold a current, valid UK driving licence.

• Basic hours 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday (371⁄2 hours) per week.

Duties And Responsibilities
