Freixenet Copestick Ltd is hiring a Technologist to support the Technical & Sustainability team, ensuring technical and legislative compliance across the business while helping to maintain and improve quality management systems. The role focuses on BRCGS compliance, technical documentation, supplier coordination, audits, and data analysis.

This maternity cover position is a 12-month fixed-term contract with a full-time schedule.

• Lead monthly complaints meetings and drive investigations with suppliers.

We’re hiring a Technologistto join our team! This is a fantastic opportunity to support the Technical & Sustainability team, ensuring technical and legislative compliance across the business while helping to maintain and continuously improve our quality management systems. You’ll play a key role in supporting BRCGS compliance, managing technical documentation and data, coordinating audits and investigations, and working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to uphold the highest standards of quality and food safety.

Freixenet Copestick Ltd are a major player in the UK drinks market and we’re proud to be the UK’s leading supplier of sparkling wines. In this role, you’ll work cross-functionally with colleagues, suppliers and customers to ensure technical processes run smoothly and compliance standards are maintained across the business.

This is a maternity cover role on a 12-month fixed term contract.

Employment Type: Full time, Temporary

Salary: Between £32000 and £35000 year

What you’ll be doing:

• Complete customer and supplier technical specifications and intake specifications with our bottling facility
• Manage packaging compliance submissions, including PRN and EPR data
• Complete customer approval questionnaires and supporting documentation
• Respond to HMRC traceability requests and maintain accurate records
• Lead monthly complaints meetings and manage investigations with suppliers, ensuring corrective and preventative actions are implemented
• Lead monthly non-conformance meetings and manage corrective action processes
• Coordinate internal audit activities, conduct audits and support the wider technical team
• Support bulk wine production by managing out-of-specification intake results
• Support NPD projects by managing technical requirements and label approvals for new wine launches
• Collect and analyse technical data to support KPI reporting and trending
• File and maintain new and existing trademarks
• Actively contribute to HACCP, TACCP and VACCP teams
• Respond to technical queries from internal and external stakeholders

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience within food manufacturing in a technical, production or quality-focused role
• Experience in an analytical, investigative or data-driven environment
• Comfortable using multiple software platforms and cloud-based systems
• Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to data and processes
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across different teams
• Ability to take initiative and develop creative solutions to problems
• An interest in quality, food safety and continuous improvement

We would consider graduates with food scienece / technical background degrees.
