SJR Partners in Tamworth, Staffordshire, is seeking an experienced Toolroom Manager to lead tooling operations for high-volume plastic injection moulding. The role focuses on maintenance, optimisation and reliability to support demanding production schedules.

You will manage a technical team of Toolmakers and Technicians, drive improvements, and work with Production, Engineering and Quality to enhance tool performance and product quality.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience in a Toolroom Manager or Senior Toolmaker role.
• Strong background in plastic injection moulding.
• Excellent understanding of injection mould tools and maintenance.
• Experience managing tooling operations in high-volume manufacturing.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Knowledge of tooling design, modifications and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to drive tooling performance, reliability and efficiency.

Aufgaben

• Lead and manage the Toolroom function, maintaining and optimising injection mould tools.
• Oversee planned maintenance and repairs to minimise downtime.
• Develop Toolroom Engineers, Toolmakers and Technicians.
• Diagnose and resolve tooling issues including wear and damage.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering and Quality to improve tooling efficiency.
• Support new tooling introductions and process improvements.
• Monitor tooling performance, costs and KPIs.
• Manage external tooling suppliers and budgets.
• Drive continuous improvements to tool life and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and quality standards.
