Job summary

Probe UK in Derbyshire is seeking an experienced Toolmaker / Tooling Engineer to join our manufacturing team. You will take tooling projects from drawings to production-ready tools, performing conventional and CNC machining and EDM processes.

You will work with AutoCAD 2D, assemble tools, test and modify as required, and collaborate with on-site engineering during trials. This is a hands-on role requiring high precision and a pride in delivering quality tooling.

Qualifications

Experience interpreting tooling drawings and translating into finished components.
Able to manufacture, assemble and complete tools from start to finish.
Experience using 2D AutoCAD to support tooling manufacture.
Commitment to high standards of accuracy and quality.

Responsibilities

Operating milling machines, lathes, spark erosion equipment and precision surface grinders.
Interpreting tooling/engineering drawings and translating into finished tools.
Using 2D AutoCAD to support tooling manufacture and modifications.
Manufacturing, assembling and completing tools from start to finish to required standards.
Making tooling alterations and improvements following trials and testing.
Programming and operating FANUC-controlled wire EDM, CNC equipment, EDM die sinking and CNC spark drilling machinery.
Collaborating with on-site engineering and development teams during trials and testing.
