Job summary

Probe UK in Derbyshire is seeking an experienced Toolmaker / Tooling Engineer to take tooling projects from drawings to production-ready tools. You will perform conventional and CNC machining, EDM processes and tool assembly, testing and modification.

You will collaborate with engineering teams to ensure high-quality tooling. Join a well-established manufacturing business offering 45-hour weeks, pension and annual leave, with a clear path from Toolmaker to Senior Tooling Engineer as you develop

Qualifications

• Experience in tooling manufacture from drawings to production-ready tools.
• Proficient in conventional and CNC machining and EDM processes.
• Ability to interpret complex tooling drawings and specs.
• Experienced working in a small toolmaking team.

Responsibilities

• Operate milling machines, lathes, spark erosion and grinders.
• Interpret tooling drawings and translate into tools.
• Use 2D AutoCAD to support tooling manufacture.
• Manufacture, assemble and finish tools to quality standards.
• Make tooling alterations after trials and testing.
• Program and operate FANUC wire EDM, CNC and EDM equipment.
• Collaborate with on-site engineering during trials.
