Probe UK, Derbyshire-based precision tooling specialist, seeks an experienced Toolmaker / Tooling Engineer to lead from drawings to production-ready tools. You will run conventional and CNC machining, EDM processes and assemble, test and modify tooling in a collaborative environment.
You will interpret complex tooling drawings, use 2D AutoCAD for tooling layout, and work with FANUC-controlled wire EDM, CNC equipment and surface grinders. A hands-on, quality-focused approach is essential.
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Toolmaker / Tooling Engineer to join a well-established and technically focused manufacturing business in Derbyshire. The role will involve the manufacture, assembly, maintenance and modification of specialist production tooling, working closely with the wider engineering and development teams.
The Toolmaker / Tooling Engineer will be responsible for taking tooling projects from initial drawings through to completed, production-ready tools. This will involve a combination of conventional machining, CNC machining and EDM processes, together with tool assembly, testing and subsequent modifications where required.
This role is commutable from: Derby, Ashbourne, Burton, Uttoxeter, Stoke, Matlock, Belper, Ilkeston, Nottingham
