Job summary

Kingdom Services Group is seeking an experienced Toolmaker for its site in St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex. The role operates on an early, days, lates rotating shift pattern, Monday to Friday, and is a permanent position paying up to £43,700 depending on experience.

You will produce, maintain and repair tooling to exact specifications, working in a busy Tool Shop with diverse machinery and equipment. Collaboration with Designers and customers ensures accurate delivery of technical requirements

Qualifications

• Proven experience working as a Toolmaker within an engineering, manufacturing or Toolroom environment.
• Strong ability to read, interpret and work accurately from detailed technical drawings.
• Experience manufacturing tooling to precise specifications and tight tolerances.
• Practical working knowledge of mechanical engineering and engineering workshop environments.
• Experience using a range of hand tools, machine tools and associated workshop equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and rectify tooling or operational issues.
• Experience working within a busy Tool Shop and delivering work to tight deadlines.
• A relevant Engineering qualification or apprenticeship would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Producing, maintaining and repairing tooling to exact specifications and tolerances.
• Working within a busy Tool Shop using a range of machinery, hand tools and engineering equipment.
• Delivering high-quality work within agreed timescales.
• Collaborating with Designers, Customers and colleagues to ensure technical requirements are understood and delivered.
• Identifying and rectifying tooling faults and operational issues.
