Job summary

Nicholas Associates Group Limited is seeking a skilled Toolmaker to join a busy manufacturing environment. You will manufacture, maintain and repair production tooling to engineering drawings and specifications, helping ensure reliable equipment performance and consistent product quality.

Key responsibilities include tool modification, repair and preventative maintenance, using precision measuring equipment and carrying out tooling trials to support production fault-finding.

Qualifications

• Experience in toolmaking or precision engineering.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Practical machining and bench fitting skills.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and modify tooling to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Repair, service and maintain progressive press tools.
• Carry out preventative maintenance, machining and bench fitting.
• Use precision measuring equipment to verify tooling accuracy.
• Conduct tooling trials and support production fault-finding activities.
• Replace worn components and manufacture replacement tooling parts as required.
• Identify tooling issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Follow all health, safety and quality procedures.
