PECO (Pritchard Patent Product Co Ltd) in Beer, Seaton is seeking a Toolmaker to manufacture, maintain and repair molds and tooling for plastic model production. The role requires reading technical drawings, machining components to specification, and ensuring parts meet tolerances on the production line.

You will work on-site in a workshop environment, collaborating with production, design and quality teams to improve tool performance and product quality while maintaining safety and orderly work

Formación

• Experience in toolmaking, mold making, or precision engineering for plastics.
• Proficiency with workshop machinery: lathes, mills, grinders, drills, and precision measuring tools.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, and CAD designs.
• Knowledge of injection molding and plastic component manufacturing.
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills for tooling issues.
• Good communication and teamwork with production, design and quality teams.
• Vocational training or apprenticeship in toolmaking or mechanical engineering.
• Willingness to work on-site in Beer and maintain workshop presence.

Responsabilidades

• Manufacture, maintain, and repair molds, dies, and tooling used in plastic model production.
• Read technical drawings and machine components to specification.
• Fit and assemble tooling; perform quality checks for tolerances.
• Troubleshoot tooling issues on the production line.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and collaborate with production and design teams to improve tool performance.
• Maintain safe, organized work areas and follow safety procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in the workshop.
