Job summary

Recruit Mint in Peterborough is seeking an experienced Toolmaker to join its skilled manufacturing team. You will work from engineering drawings to manufacture, modify and repair precision tooling and components, with the role tailored to your skills whether manual or CNC.

The role offers varied engineering work, not high-volume production, with duties including setting up tooling, reading drawings and maintaining quality.

Qualifications

• Experience as Toolmaker/Precision Machinist or similar role.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong manual or CNC machining skills.
• Ability to produce components to close tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture, modify, repair and maintain precision tooling and components.
• Operate manual or CNC milling, turning and other machine tools.
• Inspect completed components using precision measuring equipment.
• Read and interpret drawings and ensure quality and tolerances.
• Work with design, manufacturing and assembly colleagues to meet delivery standards.
