Job summary

A leading UK manufacturer Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking an experienced toolmaker to join our production team. You will manufacture new diecast and plastic mould tooling, modify existing tooling from 2D drawings and 3D CAD data, and collaborate with Engineering on tooling design aspects.

You will also set up tooling for production, assess tooling condition, perform repairs, and work with quality to meet customer drawings.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained toolmaker with engineering background preferred.
• Experience with die casting or injection mould tooling advantageous.
• Ability to read blueprints/drawings and interpret 3D CAD models.
• Knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture new diecast/plastic mould tooling and modify tooling from drawings and CAD data.
• Provide lead-times and hours for scope of work on request.
• Consult with Engineering and advise on tooling design where applicable.
• Liaise with subcontractors and service providers as required.
• Set up tooling to produce die castings/plastic mouldings and ensure readiness for production.
