Job summary

Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a leading manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Toolmaker to join their Toolroom team.

The role involves designing and manufacturing tooling, gauges and fixtures, setting and programming CNC machines, and providing technical support across Engineering, Manufacturing and Operations. Apprentice-trained with strong CNC, CAD/CAM and metrology skills, you will work to tight tolerances and help drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Completed an engineering apprenticeship or equivalent toolmaking qualification.
• Proven experience in a toolroom/toolmaking environment.
• Strong CNC setting, operating and programming experience.
• Experience with CAD/CAM programming.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture, repair and maintain tooling, gauges and fixtures to required specifications.
• Set, operate and programme CNC machinery (milling, turning, surface grinding).
• Undertake CAD/CAM programming and manual design work.
• Carry out bench fitting and tool repair to a high standard.
• Work to tight tolerances and ensure quality of components.
• Review methods and drive improvements in efficiency, quality and cost.
