Job summary

Dropp (United Kingdom) is offering a permanent afternoon shift for an experienced toolroom engineer or toolmaker in Darlaston and nearby areas. The role starts as temp to perm with pay £17–£19.50 per hour and includes a paid half-hour lunch, overtime, and a quarterly bonus.

You will handle press tool breakdowns, TPM, servicing, tool setting (punch and die changes), and warehousing of spares. Training is provided on-site to cover gaps in experience.

Qualifications

• Experience with cut-off press tooling and die changes.
• Comfortable using grinder, miller, driller and lathe.
• On-site training available from an on-site trainer.

Responsibilities

• Attend press tool breakdowns, fault-finding and repairs.
• Day-to-day TPM and keeping spares stocked.
• Press tool servicing and improvements.
• Setting press tooling, including punch and die changes.
• Replacing die springs, dies and punches, and regrinds.

Permanent afternoon shift for an experienced toolroom engineer or toolmaker, starting temp to perm. Monday to Thursday 14:00–22:00 and Friday 13:00–20:00, with a paid half-hour lunch, quarterly performance bonus, pension and overtime.
