Position Details

This established engineering company based in Birmingham is seeking an experienced toolmaker.

Responsibilities

1. Manufacturing, assembling, and repairing precision tools used in the production process, including Single Op and Progression.
2. Working from technical drawings and utilizing various machinery to produce high-quality components.
3. Inspecting and testing completed tools to ensure they meet quality standards.

Requirements

1. At least 5 years of experience as a toolmaker, preferably within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment with both Single Op and Progression tooling.
2. Knowledge of machining processes such as milling, grinding, turning, and EDM.
3. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
4. Knowledge of CNC programming is an advantage.

Additional Details

• Hours: 7am to 4pm Monday to Thursday, 7am to 12:30pm Friday.
• Overtime may be available.
• This is a permanent position starting immediately.
