Job description
Tooling Stores Coordinator

Long term temporary leading to permanent

2-shift pattern (6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm)

£14.52 per hour (38 hours per week)

We're looking for someone organised, hands‑on, and great with detail to join our client's team as a Tooling Stores Coordinator in Wallsend. You'll keep the production tooling in top shape - making sure it's stored correctly, tracked properly, and ready when the team needs it.

What you’ll be doing
  • Logging, storing, and issuing tooling (dies, rollers, preform heads, postformers).
  • Keeping our tooling inventory up to date and easy to find.
  • Checking tools when they come back from production - clean, inspect, and restock.
  • Tracking tool usage and condition so we know what's wearing out and what needs replacing.
  • Helping the Technical team with tooling data, changeovers, and trials.
  • Ordering or arranging repairs when tooling needs attention.
  • Suggesting improvements to how we store and manage tools (think 5S and better layouts).
What you’ll help us achieve
  • Less downtime because the right tools are ready on time.
  • Fewer lost or damaged tools.
  • Better visibility of what we're using and what we're spending.
  • Longer tool life thanks to proper care and control.

You’ll report to the Senior Technical Process Engineer and work closely with Production, Quality, and Procurement.
