Job summary

Morgan Jones Recruitment is seeking an experienced Tooling Machinist in Hythe to join a long-established precision manufacturing business. The role focuses on repair, maintenance and refurbishment of press tooling to keep production running smoothly.

You will inspect, repair, machine and bench-fit tooling components, working from engineering drawings and with CNC machinery. A hands-on engineer with attention to detail will thrive here.

Qualifications

• Experienced Tooling Machinist with hands-on expertise in tooling maintenance and repair.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
• Strong practical engineering background and comfort working with metal components.
• Experience with CNC machining, milling, precision grinding and bench-fitting.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tooling for wear and damage and plan repairs.
• Repair and maintain press tooling to keep production-ready.
• Machine replacement or repair components using CNC equipment.
• Bench-fit, assemble and adjust tooling components with tight tolerances.
• Work with production teams to minimise downtime and resolve tooling issues.
