The Role of the Tooling Engineer:

As a Tooling Engineer, you'll be responsible for the performance, maintenance, and optimisation of high-speed, multistage progressive stamping tools. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you'll solve complex tooling challenges, support New Product Introductions, and ensure tools are production-ready.

Here’s how:

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex piercing and forming challenges within high-speed multistage progressive stamping tools
• Work closely with NPI and design teams to ensure new tooling is fully optimised and ready for seamless production integration
• Consistently uphold high standards of craftsmanship and technical precision in all work
• Deliver clear, timely updates on tooling performance and apply root cause analysis to drive effective solutions
• Play an active role in refining tooling designs and updating technical drawings to improve functionality and reliability
• Identify and implement corrective measures to enhance production quality, efficiency, and overall tool performance
• Mentor and guide junior team members and apprentices, fostering skill development and technical growth

About You:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience with high-speed multistage progressive stamping tools
• Bench fitting and precision machining experience
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong mechanical problem-solving ability
• Proficiency with basic computer programs (MS Word, Excel)
• Experience with tooling optimisation and collaboration on design (desirable)
