Job summary

Advanced Resource Managers Ltd in Bolton is seeking a Tooling Design Engineer on a 6-month contract. The role involves delivering tool design solutions for a defence/aerospace client, using CREO, with SC clearance required.

You will manage timelines, collaborate with stakeholders to align designs with business goals, and re-engineer existing solutions while producing clear documentation. The position offers £50ph Inside IR35 and is based in Bolton.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND qualified with significant experience in Tool Design and Definition.
• Extensive 3D modelling experience and ability to assess 3D models for quality.
• Experience in 3D annotations (CREO) is a plus.
• Ability to translate design intent from 3D models into high-quality 2D/3D definitions (CREO).
• Strong background in the production of engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of BS8888, ISO 1101, ISO 5459 and GD&T standards.

Tooling Design Engineer

6 month contract

Based in Bolton

Do you hold an HNC or higher within an engineering discipline?

Do you have experience using CREO?

As the Tooling Design Engineer, you will be working alongside a market-leading Defence and Aerospace company who are constantly growing and developing. Due to the nature of the work you will be involved in, SC clearance is required.

You will be involved in:

• Deliver practical and innovative tool design solutions
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals
• Re-engineer existing solutions, updating models, configuration, and associated documentation
• Manage your own project timelines and priorities to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met

Your skillset and experience:

• HNC/HND qualified with significant experience in Tool Design and Definition
• A significant amount of 3D modelling experience and be able to assess 3D models for their quality
• Experience in 3D annotations would be a distinct advantage (CREO)
• Ability to translate design intent from 3D models into high quality 2D/3D definitions (CREO)
• Strong background in the production of engineering drawings
• Knowledge of BS8888 Technical product documentation and specification, ISO 1101 Geometrical product specifications, ISO 5459 Datum and datum systems, and similar standards and GD&T
