Job summary

Tooling Design Engineer position based in Bolton for a 6 month contract within a Defence and Aerospace environment. You will work with CREO, translate design intent into 2D/3D definitions, and deliver robust tooling solutions.

Clearance is required for this role, and you will be responsible for producing engineering drawings, updating documentation, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND qualified with significant experience in Tool Design and Definition.
• Extensive 3D modelling experience and ability to assess 3D models for quality.
• Experience in CREO and translating design intent from 3D models into 2D/3D definitions.

Tooling Design Engineer 6 month contract • Based in Bolton • Offering £50ph Inside IR35

Do you hold an HNC or higher within an engineering discipline? Do you have experience using CREO? Do you want to work with an industry-leading company? Your skillset and experience:

• HNC/HND qualified with significant experience in Tool Design and Definition
• A significant amount of 3D modelling experience and be able to assess 3D models for their quality
• Experience in 3D annotations would be a distinct advantage (CREO)
• Ability to translate design intent from 3D models into high quality 2D/3D definitions (CREO)
• Strong background in the production of engineering drawings
• Knowledge of BS8888 Technical product documentation and specification, ISO 1101 Geometrical product specifications, ISO 5459 Datum and datum systems, and similar standards and GD&T
