Job summary

Travis Perkins is seeking a Toolhire Driver to deliver and collect tools and equipment from our Lincoln branch. You will load, unload and secure items, perform safety checks and maintain gear for customers, making around 14 deliveries and collections daily, while representing the company professionally.

This full-time position offers training, development, and a structured progression path within our Toolhire team, with a focus on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• HGV licence and up-to-date CPC records required.
• Experience in toolhire or plant hire is desirable but training is provided.
• Customer-focused and safety-conscious in every delivery.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect tools, equipment and plant to local customers from the branch.
• Load and unload vehicle, secure equipment and complete checks before setting off.
• Maintain equipment and prepare for next day; act as the face of Travis Perkins on the road.

What will you be doing?

You’ll be delivering and collecting tools, equipment and plant from our branch to local customers, making sure everything is transported safely and securely.

You’ll be responsible for loading and unloading your vehicle, ensuring equipment is secured correctly and completing the necessary checks before setting off. You’ll also help maintain our equipment and make sure it is ready for customers.

As the face of Travis Perkins on the road, you’ll provide a professional, friendly service to our customers while completing around 14 deliveries and collections a day. Once your deliveries are complete, you’ll return to the branch to reload and prepare for the next day.

Who You Are

• Driving licence: You’ll need the appropriate HGV driving licence for the role, with up-to-date CPC records.
• Toolhire experience: Previous experience in toolhire, plant hire or a similar environment is desirable, but full training will be provided.
• Customer-focused: You’ll be confident building and developing positive relationships with customers and representing Travis Perkins professionally.
• Safety-focused: You’ll prioritise safety in every aspect of your work, from loading and securing equipment to completing your deliveries and collections.
• Hands-on: You’ll be comfortable working with tools and equipment and getting stuck in to help the branch and our customers.
