Job summary

Travis Perkins in Fleet is seeking a Class 2 HGV Driver to join our branch delivery team. You will deliver building materials to local customers, loading with HIAB where required and keeping safety at the forefront.

Expect sociable, daytime hours, no overnights, a steady workload with around 14 drops per day, plus HIAB training and funded CPC refreshers. Competitive salary with performance bonus potential and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Class 2 driving license and up-to-date CPC records.
• Category B license held for 12+ months.
• Willingness to undertake HIAB training funded by the branch.

Responsibilities

• Deliver building materials from branch to local customers, ensuring safety and proper handling.
• Load HIAB and verify everything is packed and legal before departure.
• Complete around 14 drops per day and reload at the branch as needed.

What will you be doing?

You’ll be delivering building materials from our branch to local customers, making sure everything’s safe and sound. You’ll load up your vehicle with the HIAB, double-check it’s all properly packed and legal, and then hit the road. As our face on the road, you’ll keep it professional while making around 14 drops a day, then head back to the branch to reload when needed.

Who you are

• Requirements: You’ll need a Class 2 driving license, up-to-date CPC records, and have held a Category B license for 12+ months.


• HIAB experience: Don’t have HIAB experience? No problem! We’ll fund your HIAB training.


• Customer-focused: You’ll be confident building and developing relationships with customers.


• Safety-focused: You’ll prioritize safety in every aspect of your work, completing tasks in a professional manner.
