Adecco seeks an experienced Fitter / Tool Repair Technician in Staines to maintain hire tools and power equipment to high standards. You will diagnose faults, repair, test, and ready equipment for the next rental cycle.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in repairing, servicing, or maintaining tools and hire equipment.
• Strong mechanical and fault-finding skills.
• Experience in testing equipment and preparing it for customer use.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and assess returned equipment to identify faults or maintenance needs.
• Perform fault finding, servicing, and repairs on tools and equipment.
• Prepare equipment for next hire, ensuring it meets safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Complete service and repair documentation with accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
• Support stock control of spare parts and consumables.
• Collaborate with depot colleagues to ensure customer service and equipment availability.
• Identify equipment requiring specialist repairs or replacement.
