Job summary

Gi Group UK is seeking a Plant & Tool Fitter for a permanent role based near Ascot. The role involves testing, maintaining and repairing a range of plant and hand tools, with field repairs at customer sites as required. A full UK driving licence and sound mechanical fault-finding skills are essential.

You will work Monday to Friday in a busy plant hire environment, liaising with customers and colleagues to ensure equipment is serviced to ISO standards and prepared for future bookings.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Plant Fitter or similar role in plant hire or construction equipment.
• Ability to fault diagnose, service and repair plant and hand tools.
• Good communication and customer-facing skills.
• Full UK driving licence and local area knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Test, maintain, service and repair plant and hand tools.
• Carry out repairs and maintenance at customer sites when required.
• Diagnose faults and perform effective repairs.
• Deliver or collect equipment as needed and assist loading/unloading.
• Keep workshop and yard clean, safe and organised.
• Attend training to develop technical knowledge.
