Key Responsibilities
Repair, maintain, and prepare pattern equipment for production.
Ensure all pattern equipment is fit for purpose and ready for the next shift.
Carry out inspections to identify wear, damage, and defects.
Manufacture, modify, and repair tooling, patterns, and core boxes as required.
Operate traditional workshop machinery to produce and maintain tooling.
Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and support manufacturing schedules.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Follow all company quality standards and health and safety procedures.
Qualified or time-served Tool Maker.
Previous experience working as a Pattern Maker, Tool Maker, or in a similar tooling role within a foundry or manufacturing environment.
Experience operating traditional workshop machinery, including manual milling machines, centre lathes, pillar drills, surface grinders, and other conventional machine tools.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Reliable with a proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.
