Job summary

Probe UK in Willenhall is seeking a skilled Toolmaker or Patternmaker for a permanent, day-shift role in a busy workshop. You will create, repair and maintain tooling and patterns that keep production moving, with a focus on precision, quality and reliability.

The ideal candidate has experience in toolmaking or patternmaking, reads engineering drawings, uses precision measuring equipment and enjoys hands-on machining in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Toolmaker, Patternmaker or Toolroom Engineer.
• Ability to manufacture, repair and modify tooling and patterns.
• Strong manual machining skills (milling, turning, grinding, fitting).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Pride in producing quality workmanship.

We are looking for someone who has

• Experience as a Toolmaker, Patternmaker or Toolroom Engineer
• Ability to manufacture, repair and modify tooling and patterns
• Strong manual machining skills (milling, turning, grinding, fitting)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience using precision measuring equipment
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Pride in producing quality workmanship

Bonus points if you've worked with:

• Castings or foundry tooling
• Jigs, fixtures or gauges
• Press tools
• Can assist with finishing and assemble of CNC Machined tools and patterns
• Welding or fabrication
• CNC machining
