Job summary

American Trim is seeking experienced Tool & Die Makers to support our metal stamping operations. This role troubleshoots, maintains, repairs and modifies stamping dies and tooling to keep production safe and efficient.

You will perform precision machining, read blueprints, and use precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specifications while contributing to continuous improvement and high-quality output.

Qualifications

• Seven years of Tool & Die making experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical education preferred.
• Journeyperson certification or equivalent tooling training preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining stamping dies.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, maintain and modify stamping dies and tooling.
• Set up and operate machine tools with high precision.
• Read blueprints and technical drawings to meet specs.
• Diagnose tooling problems and return to safe production.
• Maintain tooling inventories and communicate needs to team.
• Follow safety, environmental and quality procedures.
• Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with overtime as needed.
