Job description

Join a world-renowned aerospace and defence organisation as a Tool Designer in Samlesbury full time onsite (opportunity for occasional hybrid working).


Would you like to join a global aerospace and defence organisation? Do you want to work as part of an organisation protecting people and maintaining maximum national security?

Due to a drive for greater success, this advanced manufacturing business is currently searching for a Tool Designer to add to their talented, hardworking team in Samlesbury on an initial 6 months contract. Striving for innovation and creativity, you can ensure no two days will be the same. This role will be offering £38.21 Umbrella per hour inside IR35.


The role:

Identify and design tooling solutions to support the manufacture of detail and assembly manufacturing components to an exacting design standard in support of Typhoon Major Units and Final Assembly build lines.


Skills:

  1. HNC or higher level or recognised apprenticeship and experience of working in tool design.
  2. Tool design and manufacturing experience in the aerospace (or equivalent standard) industry.
  3. Knowledge of detail and assembly manufacturing processes.
  4. Manufacturing Engineering and manufacturing experience in the aerospace (or equivalent standard) industry.
  5. Computer literate with good knowledge of standard office IT packages.
  6. Engineering Toolset knowledge, CATIA V5, PLM (or equivalent Product Data Manager).
