Job summary

Egger in Hexham is seeking a Process Operator to join the Tongue & Groove production team. You will contribute to a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with full training provided to operate all areas of the process and help achieve production targets.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience is not essential but desirable.
• Basic IT skills required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Positive attitude to health, safety and housekeeping.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Results-driven with ability to meet targets.
• Integrity, reliability and strong work ethic.
• FLT licence would be advantageous, training provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Tongue & Groove production line as part of a team.
• Learn all aspects of the T&G process, including line operation, banding and packing.
• Complete production and shift reports accurately and on time.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe working environment.
• Ensure equipment and machinery are kept in good condition.
• Follow health and safety procedures and use safety equipment.
• Report accidents, incidents, near misses or hazards promptly.
• Communicate with the Production Manager about equipment and issues.
• Provide cover for colleagues during holidays, sickness, training or maintenance.
• Support continuous improvement to maximise production output and efficiency.
