Provide CIC is seeking a Tobacco Dependency Advisor to support the Emergency Department Stop Smoking Service across Norfolk’s three acute hospital Trusts, based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King’s Lynn. You will proactively identify adult smokers, deliver VBA, provide vape kits, and support patients through quit attempts in a dynamic, patient‑facing role.

The role targets engagement, short interventions, and ongoing follow-up while working toward monthly KPIs within a social enterprise health

Aufgaben

• Promote the new stop smoking service in Norfolk Acute Trusts.
• Proactively identify and engage adult patients and visitors who smoke in the three Emergency Departments.
• Provide immediate, evidence-based, non-judgemental brief advice and support.
• Offer free vape starter kits to support quit attempts.
• Record engagement, quit attempts and referrals for monitoring and reporting.
• Maintain contact with patients within 48 hours and at least weekly before the 28-day quit date up to 6 weeks.
• Work toward monthly targets and adapt delivery to meet projected outcomes.
