Provide CIC in Norwich is recruiting a Tobacco Dependence Advisor to support the Emergency Department Stop Smoking Service across Norfolk’s Trusts. The role is based at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital with travel to James Paget University Hospital and Queen Elizabeth Hospital as needed.

You will identify and engage adult smokers, deliver Very Brief Advice, provide vape starter kits, and offer evidence-based support to help patients begin their quit journeys, working flexibly across sites.

Qualifications

• Ncsct practitioner trained or willingness to undertake relevant tobacco dependency training.
• Relevant qualification in health, healthcare, health promotion, or equivalent experience.
• Experience delivering smoking cessation or tobacco dependency support.

Responsabilités

• Promote the new service in Norfolk Acute Trusts and engage adult smokers in EDs.
• Deliver Very Brief Advice and motivational interviewing in the ED setting.
• Provide vape starter kits and evidence-based support to quit smoking.
• Record engagement and referrals; monitor performance and outcomes.
• Coordinate across multiple sites within the Norfolk Trusts and public health partners.
