Job summary

Provide CIC is seeking a Tobacco Dependence Advisor to support the Emergency Department Stop Smoking Service across Norfolk’s acute hospital Trusts. Based at James Paget University Hospital, the role involves brief interventions, supplying vape starter kits, and proactive engagement with adult smokers to aid cessation.

Qualifications

• NCSCT Practitioner trained or willing to undertake tobacco dependency training.
• Relevant health/health promotion qualification or equivalent experience.
• Driver with access to a car.

Responsibilities

• Promote the Stop Smoking Service across Norfolk Acute Trusts.
• Identify and engage adult patients and visitors who smoke in Emergency Departments and deliver VBA.
• Provide immediate, evidence-based, non-judgemental advice and support for quit attempts.
