Job summary

TITHEGROVE LIMITED in Taunton invites applicants to join as an apprentice in construction, gaining hands-on experience while your college study is paid for.

You will work with the commercial team, supporting cost management, measurements and cost estimates, with college training included. This 2-year program offers 37.5 hours per week, 08:30–17:00, starting 03 November 2026, with possible travel to Swindon.

Qualifications

  • GCSEs in English and Maths at grade 4/C or above (or equivalent).
  • Strong numeracy and attention to detail required.
  • Willingness to learn and complete college training.
  • Able to commit to standard apprenticeship hours and days.

Responsibilities

  • Support Quantity Surveyors with commercial management of projects.
  • Measure quantities and prepare cost estimates.
  • Prepare and review subcontractor and supplier quotations.
  • Process subcontractor and supplier payments.
  • Assist with valuations, applications for payment and cost reporting.
  • Assist with tendering and procurement activities.
  • Work with site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Learn to manage budgets and maintain accurate project records.
  • Attend site visits to gain practical construction experience.
  • Develop knowledge of contracts, costs and commercial management.

Job description

Join Tithegrove as an apprentice and build your career in construction while gaining hands‑on experience. You’ll work alongside our experienced commercial team, learning how to manage costs and support projects. Annual wage: £15,600 a year

Work

As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands‑on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you'll do at work

Other requirements

You will normally be required to work out of our Taunton office but will also be required to attend our other office in Swindon as well as sites, on an ad‑hoc basis. A full UK driving licence would be advantageous.
