Contract - Permanent, all year round

Location - Peterborough

Closing Date – 27th October 2026

Are you an organised, data-focused person who enjoys working with systems, solving problems and making sure everything adds up?

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Timetabling, Register and Resourcing Coordinator to join our Management Information Services (MIS) team at Peterborough College.

This is a great opportunity for someone with an interest in data, systems and processes to play an important role in supporting the smooth running of our College. You’ll help ensure our timetables are accurate, registers are ready for teaching to begin, and rooms and staff are used effectively to support our curriculum.

Working closely with colleagues across MIS, curriculum and support teams, you’ll use your analytical and organisational skills to maintain data quality, resolve issues and help deliver a reliable, responsive service to staff and students.

What will you be doing?
  • Managing the day-to-day administration of our timetabling and room booking systems, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.

  • Coordinating timetables and registers, making sure students are linked to the correct sessions and staff can mark attendance from the start of their courses.

  • Checking data across our student management and related systems to ensure information is consistent, complete and compliant.

  • Reviewing reports to identify timetable clashes, unmarked registers, attendance concerns and opportunities to improve room and staff utilisation.

  • Producing and validating reports on timetabling, room occupancy and resource usage to support effective planning and decision-making.

  • Working with curriculum teams to resolve scheduling issues and ensure timetables accurately reflect planned teaching and learning.

  • Supporting compliance with relevant funding requirements and Study Programme Policy controls.

  • Providing guidance and training to colleagues on timetabling systems, processes and service desk procedures.

  • Responding to service desk requests and queries, finding practical solutions and delivering excellent customer service.

  • Supporting enrolment activities and other MIS functions during busy periods.

About you

You’ll enjoy working with data and systems, have a keen eye for detail and take pride in getting things right. You’ll be comfortable investigating discrepancies, identifying solutions and managing competing priorities in a busy environment.

You’ll also be a confident communicator who can explain processes clearly, build positive working relationships and support colleagues who rely on accurate information to do their jobs.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Experience in a data or administrative role, with a strong focus on accuracy and data quality.

  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.

  • An analytical and methodical approach to problem-solving.

Experience using timetabling, scheduling or management information systems would be an advantage, as would experience in a further or higher education environment. However, if you have strong data skills, enjoy learning new systems and are keen to develop your knowledge of MIS within education, we’d love to hear from you.

Why work for IEG?
