You will safely load, unload and transport timber within the log yard and production areas, ensuring continuous material flow to support sawmill operations. A valid Volvo loading shovel ticket and a proven track record in heavy plant roles are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a Volvo loading shovel or similar heavy plant machinery.
• Valid Volvo Loading Shovel/Plant Operator Ticket or equivalent certification.
• Strong commitment to Health & Safety standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy industrial environment.
• Reliable, flexible and dependable approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Operate Volvo loading shovel and associated plant equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load, unload and transport logs, timber products and by-products across the site.
• Maintain a consistent supply of materials to support production requirements.
• Complete daily machine inspections and pre-start safety checks.
• Identify and report equipment defects, maintenance issues, or safety concerns.
• Work closely with production, maintenance and logistics teams.
• Adhere to all company Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards throughout the site.
• Assist with truck loading and unloading activities as required.
