Job summary

Oakwrights Ltd. is seeking a hands-on Timber Frame Technician to join our workshop team in Hereford. You will build timber frame panels, read technical drawings, and assemble components with hand and power tools while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

You don't need to be an expert timber framer; practical skills, motivation and a willingness to learn are valued. Opportunities to grow with a growing business and see projects through to completion are offered.

Qualifications

  • Practical, motivated and keen to learn.
  • Experience in carpentry, joinery, timber framing, construction, manufacturing, fabrication, or workshop environments.
  • Great work ethic, attention to detail and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Build timber frame panels that form the structure of our bespoke homes and buildings.
  • Read and work from technical drawings and specifications.
  • Measure, cut and prepare timber components accurately.
  • Assemble panels using hand tools and power tools.
  • Work alongside experienced craftspeople who are passionate about quality.
  • Help maintain a safe, organised and efficient workshop environment.
  • Take pride in producing work that reflects high standards.

Timber Frame Workshop Technician

Location: Hereford, HR4 7PU

Salary: Competitive, DOE + Excellent Benefits

Hours: Full Time, Permanent (45 hours per week)

You don't have to be an expert timber framer already.

What matters most is that you're practical, motivated and keen to learn.

You may have experience in:

  • Carpentry
  • Joinery
  • Timber framing
  • Construction
  • Manufacturing
  • Fabrication
  • Workshop or assembly environments
