We're looking for someone who gets a kick out of working with natural materials, someone who appreciates the grain of the wood as much as the precision of the cut. In our busy Timber Frame workshop, you'll be part of a team that values craftsmanship, collaboration, and the beauty of building with timber.
About the role
Join our production team to program, set up, and operate our advancedHundegger CNC machines, ensuring the precise fabrication of bespoke timbercomponents that form the framework of our timber frame buildings.
Key responsibilities:
• Program, set up, and operate CNC machinery to produce timber components toexact specifications.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files withaccuracy.
• Perform regular quality control assessments to maintain our high productionstandards.
• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot CNC equipment as needed.
• Maintain accurate production records and communicate any deviations orissues.
• Collaborate with design and assembly teams to optimise production processes.
• Ensure a clean, organised, and safe working environment while adhering tosafety protocols.
What we're looking for:
• Skilled in reading technical drawings and using CAD files.
• Ability to perform maintenance and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Ensure timber is handled and processed with care and accuracy.
• Someone who enjoys working with timber, whether from a workshop, carpentry,or timber framing background.
• Experience with CNC machines is helpful, but training is provided for theright person.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working both independently and in ateam.
• Physically fit, well-organised, positive attitude with strong communicationand problem-solving skills.
