Job summary

HR GO Group is seeking a Construction Contracts Lead (Timber Frame) in Watford to lead timber-frame projects end-to-end, from tender setup through to site handover, acting as the main link between internal teams, subcontract installers and the client. The temporary role offers £20.51 per hour, Mon-Fri 07:30-16:30, with 55p per mile.

Essential requirements include Gold/White CSCS, timber-frame installation coordination, and strong communication and document-control skills.

Qualifications

• Gold/White CSCS card required.
• Proven timber-frame installation coordination experience.
• Confidence working from technical drawings, programmes and site documents.
• Strong client communication, organisation, reporting and document control skills.
• Own vehicle and willingness to travel to sites (including occasional Southeast Kent).

Responsibilities

• Lead tender set-up and ensure project information is complete and controlled.
• Coordinate project kick-off meetings, chair meetings, capture minutes and drive actions to closure.
• Maintain a master tracker per project with key dates, dependencies and risks.
• Draft, issue, distribute and manage project programmes and updates.
• Lead incident reporting and customer care processes; respond and close out site issues.
• Attend/lead design coordination meetings; communicate buildability and risk to site/install teams.
• Produce site-specific RAMS and ensure timber-frame installation compliance.
• Support subcontractor appointment with the QS and monitor performance.
• Raise and log Delay Notices, NCRs and variations with background costs and evidence.
• Maintain document control with audit trails and versioning.
• Complete site visits, pre-start meetings and ongoing supervision to drive quality and pace.
• Carry out inspections and snagging with documented records.
• Drive handover activity to achieve on-time completion and client sign-off.
• Produce site reports within 24 hours (H&S, programme, progress, next steps).
