Job summary

Assa Abloy in Lisburn is seeking a skilled Bench Joiner to join our production team. You will manufacture timber doors and door components from drawings, and operate a range of woodworking machinery and hand tools.

The role requires reading technical drawings, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a busy manufacturing environment. Overtime, pension benefits and good working conditions are available.

Qualifications

• Relevant joinery or carpentry qualifications
• Previous experience as a Bench Joiner, Carpenter, or Woodworking Operative.
• Experience working within a timber door, joinery, carpentry or woodworking manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Competent in the use of woodworking machinery and hand tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A positive work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture timber doors and door components from technical drawings and specifications.
• Operate a variety of woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Assemble, fit, and finish timber door sets to quality and fire safety standards.
• Measure, mark, cut, and shape timber materials accurately.
• Report any defects, material shortages, or production issues to Production Manager
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
