Job summary

Mitchell Maguire Limited is seeking an Area Sales Manager for Timber and Construction Products to cover the South East, Anglia and Southern part of East Midlands. You will sell a manufactured timber range to builders merchants and buying groups, managing a portfolio of 200+ accounts and handling order values from £12k to £250k.

Expect four and a half days on the road with some overnight stays. The role offers a basic salary of £50,000-£60,000 plus a fully expensed hybrid car and a full benefits

Qualifications

• Must have proven field sales track record selling timber/building materials to builders merchants, timber merchants or buying groups.
• Must have sold to national/ regional/ independent merchants and buying groups.
• Excellent relationship building and account development skills.

Responsibilities

• Field sales position selling a manufactured range of timber products.
• Selling into builders merchants, timber merchants and buying groups.
• Building relationships and managing existing portfolio of clients.
• Dealing with order values from £12k – £250k.
• Taking over an established region with over 200 active accounts.
• Four and a half days on the road visiting customers, half a day working from home/admin.
• Working to a 6-12 week journey plan depending on account value.
• Responsible for 100,000m3 cubic meters of materials.
• Away nights covering the territory and site visits.
