Job summary

Mitchell Maguire Limited is seeking an Area Sales Manager to drive growth in timber and construction products across South East, Anglia and parts of East Midlands. You will manage a portfolio of 200+ accounts, sell to builders and timber merchants, and develop strong customer relationships. Expect field-based work with 4.5 days on the road and one admin day.

The role covers orders from £12k to £250k, with a basic salary of £50,000–£60,000 and a fully expensed hybrid car as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Must have proven field sales track record selling timber/building materials.
• Experience selling to builders merchants, timber merchants or buying groups.
• Experience handling orders up to £250k and developing accounts.

Responsibilities

• Field sales position selling a manufactured range of timber products
• Selling into builders merchants, timber merchants and buying groups
• Building relationships and managing existing portfolio of clients
• Dealing with order values from £12k - £250k
• Taking over an established region with over 200 active accounts
• Four and a half days on the road visiting customers, half a day working from home/ admin
• Working to a 6-12 week journey plan depending on the value of accounts
• Responsible for 100,000m3 cubic meters of materials
• Due to size of territory, there will be some away night covering the territory as well as site and customer visits
