Job summary

Prime Appointments Ltd in Ardleigh is seeking a Welder Fabricator for day shift on a full-time basis. The role involves producing reinforced metal structures, primarily working with rebar, in a fast-paced production environment.

You will TIG weld and tack assemble on jigs, cut and bend materials, and follow engineering drawings. The position offers a straightforward route from temp-to-perm and an opportunity to develop welding skills.

Qualifications

• TIG welder with some TIG welding experience or relevant college qualification.
• Driver's Licence is required.
• Willingness to learn and develop welding skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physical environment.
• Ability to follow basic engineering drawings.
• Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

• TIG welding rebar cages and structural components
• Tack welding and assembling parts on jigs and benches
• Cutting and bending rebar to specification
• Operating Laser cutter
• Operating metal fabrication machinery
• Following basic engineering drawings
• Carrying out assembly work to meet production targets
• Handling and moving heavy materials throughout the shift
• Maintaining a safe and organised working environment
• Working as part of a team to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
