Job summary

Mego Employment in Lee Moor, Plympton is seeking a skilled TIG Welder / Fabricator to join a metal fabrication business delivering bespoke projects. You will weld, fabricate, assemble and install stainless steel components in both workshop and site environments, ensuring high quality and workmanship.

The role requires reading drawings, possible supervision duties, and travel to site. A Monday–Friday 08:00–16:30 shift is offered, with a salary of £35,000 per year and a company van for site work.

Qualifications

• Proven TIG welding experience with stainless steel, supported by valid welding qualifications or tickets.
• Strong background in metal fabrication and installation.
• Experience with heavy steel fabrication and structural steel components.
• Own transport is essential due to rural Lee Moor location.

Responsibilities

• Carry out precision TIG welding on stainless steel components.
• Read and interpret technical drawings to fabricate and assemble bespoke metalwork.
• Set out and install balustrades and other architectural metalwork on customer sites.
• Supervise team members and support project delivery where required.
• Manage projects from start to finish, adapting to changing priorities across workshop and site-based activities.

We are recruiting for a TIG Welder / Fabricator to join a well-established and respected metal fabrication business based in Lee Moor, Plympton. Working within both workshop and site environments, you will be responsible for TIG welding, fabrication, assembly, and installation of bespoke metalwork, while supporting the successful delivery of projects to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
