Qualifications

• Experience working with mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.
• Skilled in welding and fabrication from engineering drawings.
• Ability to meet drawing tolerances and work on various sheet metal machinery.

Responsibilities

• Produce finished components from engineering drawings as both single items and in small batches.
• Work as part of a small team in a modern facility with up-to-date machinery.
• Dress finished surfaces to a high standard and manage MIG welding when necessary.

An Excellent opportunity for an Experienced TIG Welder to join a well-established company based near Ilminster, Somerset!

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.

Salary: £14.00 - £17.00 Per Hour, Depending on Experience.

Location: Ilton, Ilminster, TA19.

Schedule: Monday – Friday.

About The Company:

Welding and fabrication a wide range of quality sheet metal products for a variety of sectors

Working as part of a small team, they now require an enthusiastic and skilled TIG welder/fabricator capable of working from engineering drawings. This interesting and varied role would require the successful applicant to produce finished components as both single items and in small batches. They have recently moved into brand new premises and have up to date modern machinery

Candidate Requirements:

• Good communication and team working skills.
• The ability to work with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Capable of working to drawing tolerances.
• Experience in the use of various sheet metal machinery would be an advantage
• Be able to dress finished surfaces to a high standard.
• Due to our line of work MIG welding will be required where necessary

·Able to work using your own initiative.

Working Hours:

• Wage rates currently varies from £14-17per hour depending on skill
• 40 hours week.
• 7.30 – 4.30 Monday to Thursday and 7.30 – 1.30 on Friday.

·Overtime paid at time and a half.
