Job Opportunity: Experienced Welder

Excel Technical Consulting is currently seeking an experienced welder for an exciting opportunity in the South of the UK. The role involves carrying out fusion welding and brazing for complex aerospace components on behalf of a well-known aerospace client with a large customer orderbook, including civilian and military organizations.

The position focuses on TIG welding and aluminium brazing on thin sheet materials for a variety of aerospace parts. This includes small batches or one-off components. Candidates should ideally have experience creating weld cards for procedures and following customer drawings and specifications.

Successful candidates will have extensive experience in welding and brazing, with knowledge of materials such as aluminium, stainless steel, and nickel alloys, working with thin gauges between 0.7-1.2mm. The client offers an hourly rate of £28/hour outside IR35, for approximately 37 hours per week, with potential for longer hours due to high workload.
